Habits to change

At a dinner, my friend started a topic about the environment. Majority people don't seem to care about the nature they are surrounded by. They go about their daily chores without thinking of the impact on the environment. My friend highly criticized how ignorant and blind we are. We seem to rely on changes to come from the environmentalists, government or non-profits institutions. But the real change needs to come from individuals.

I asked my friend what he does to be more "green". This is what he had to say:
1. I pee in the shower. (Sorry we all do, we just don't talk about it.)
2. I don't have a car (Sorry again! You live in NYC, so this one doesn't count.)
3. I walk, bike and use public transportation (acceptable)
4. I recycle (I think there is more to recycling than separating paper from bottles. How about composting)

People's habits in making their lives healthier are very limited and they need to change that themselves.

I'll take a Slovak approach in changing myself to become more responsible. Before I start bragging about positive habits I shall criticize myself.
